also, 1.05+ is the most photogenic range for midface
1 is obviously good but doesn't look consistently compact from all angles
with that being said, you need the right face to pull off a high mfr
opry for example can pull it off really well since the rest of his face is so dimorphic (eyes, chin, browridge, zygos, ecc...)
high mfr means nothing if it makes you look like an overgrown baby
1mfr gives you the lowest chance of looking like a toddler while still being in the safe range

if it's 0.98 i guess it's passable as 1
if it's 0.95 it's not death tier but it's already noticeably long in photos
0.9 and lower is ldar tier

Yes because you see things in a vision; I have longer nose than average but wide IPD, thus the ratio. Ratio are cope on their own tbh

i have literally 65mm pupill to philtrum lenght -so longer nose than average -, while 69mm IPD.
And a very tall chin. Most studies say that it's all about having a tall chin/lower third to compensate and not make it look longish. Look at yao ming.
But, medialcanthus is right in the sense that i don't have a "compact midface" based on average IPD and short nose.
But that's more a prettyboy/feminine trait, imo men need taller face, and i have a very tall face, and big skull.

that's why also imo ratio are cope @Alban when you do it you see that OPRY has 1.1 midface ratio; while actually it's due to his IPD like me, and he has longer nose than average. But he has also tall lower third, so it looks just fine.
It's all about proportions and harmony, ratios by itself are cope.

his ipd is 67 and his midface is around 64, so his nose isnt bigger than average
his nose might be 51mm at worst which is a perfectly normal measurement

nah, his ipd is 67 which is high but not super high
gandy would be a better example for what you're saying
he has 71mm ipd (which is very high) and he has 1mfr, meaning that his midface is also around 70mm
that means both his nose and philtrum are above average in size
