Depends, a crippled ugly manlet whos high iq has really high chances of suffering a lot and commiting suicide whereas if he was a retard he'd just chill

that is the only scenario where id pick 80iq

the general notion that the smarter you get the more likely of killing yourself out of contempt or depression or something is the most retarded thing

160iq i understand it comes with downsides though

isn't

suffering from social exclusion and distancing because a high iq being disruptive to your tribe's social dynamics is a real phenomenom

Its less about contempt and more about shit personal experiences, this in most social mammals, though humans have much more extreme cases of really high intelligence relative to the avg, not suicide necessarily but yes suffering and social isolation induced depression or anxiety

if you're not utilizing your intelligence in a practical manner, that the rest of your tribe can use as an instrument for good in practice, then either you're a child or you're not as smart as you think you are

just like a surplus of tools or food, a higher iq would not be disruptive, unless the tools are flimsy or the food is bad

You're right, though i believe that what i said could hold some sort of value if we talk about tasks requiring low strategic thinking & innovation, but yeah in general group dynamic what acts as disruption is neurodivergence, would you say that when overlapped with high intelligence the feeling of detachment increases that much?

And to be clear i was stereotyping high intelligence equaling neurodivergence, my bad.

Just gave this a 2nd read and it also wouldn't hold value for the tasks i thought of as long as the individual isn'd nd, it'd just be neutral worst case

if you repeat a word to yourself too much in your head it begins to sound incredibly strange, and if you did that for extended periods of time it would almost begin to be torturous

the same applies to our identities, the more neurodivergent people question themselves, the more they fall apart from the inside and detach, and this ego deterioration gets more severe with more & more shame

if you're already a very deep thinker, it can definitely accelerate this process, and this kind of shattering of the identity can also impair your memory and perception of reality, this kind of thing is the pivot of narcissism/psychopathy, ocd, schizotypy/schizophrenia, etc

i don't think we should be looking at these things as some sort of psychological malady or disease that indiscriminately inflicts people who are inherently good, brilliant, or anything else positive, because it's fundamentally a defense mechanism that they can't see through, not that i'm blaming anyone who suffers from these things, but i'm saying it's up to them to fully realize themselves and mature and use their good assets practically

if you're mature enough and have enough security over your identity i don't think any of these normie social tasks would be generating contempt or anger or anything, and normal people with high iqs dont have to worry about those things in the first place, so yes
