suffering from social exclusion and distancing because a high iq being disruptive to your tribe's social dynamics is a real phenomenom

Its less about contempt and more about shit personal experiences, this in most social mammals, though humans have much more extreme cases of really high intelligence relative to the avg, not suicide necessarily but yes suffering and social isolation induced depression or anxiety

if you repeat a word to yourself too much in your head it begins to sound incredibly strange, and if you did that for extended periods of time it would almost begin to be torturous

the same applies to our identities, the more neurodivergent people question themselves, the more they fall apart from the inside and detach, and this ego deterioration gets more severe with more & more shame

if you're already a very deep thinker, it can definitely accelerate this process, and this kind of shattering of the identity can also impair your memory and perception of reality, this kind of thing is the pivot of narcissism/psychopathy, ocd, schizotypy/schizophrenia, etc

i don't think we should be looking at these things as some sort of psychological malady or disease that indiscriminately inflicts people who are inherently good, brilliant, or anything else positive, because it's fundamentally a defense mechanism that they can't see through, not that i'm blaming anyone who suffers from these things, but i'm saying it's up to them to fully realize themselves and mature and use their good assets practically
