30+20+15+15 reps vs 20+20+20+20 reps

which one is better and what's the difference between 4 sets of 30+20+15+15 reps and 4 sets of 20 reps?
 
if your reps per set aren't decreasing you're probably not using enough intensity/too long rest

That's normal bodybuilder volume for longetivity just needs more sets. Anyone has tried below 10 reps for neck btw or?
That's controversial because some of the greatest bodybuilders train with low volume and high intensity
 
Yes and they all died early or can barely walk or say if they could do it all again they'd do more reps less weight. Dorian, Ronnie, flex. Jay cutler is still going despite huge drug abuse and being similiar size and cuts to ronnie(who is black who usually respond better to steroids and other Peds then whites in bodybuilding

Top guys in bodybuilding right now are Egyptian. None lift heavy. Anything below 5x5 there is no point you're just increasing chance of injury for no extra gains
You don't die because you did high intensity lol
 
As long as you are within a rep or two from failure on each set, both will give very similar results.

That's way too much volume
Volume is generally considered amount of working sets, not high reps.

And 4 sets is certainly not too much volume.
 
I really only train in the 10-20 rep range. Maybe 5-10 for Bench, OHP, squat, and deadlift. 20-30 sometimes for bicep curls and lateral raises. But 80% of my sets are 12-20 rep sets. Always leave 1-2 reps in reserve per set. And your sets should look something like 150(lbs)x18,15,12. Typically.
 
both can be used in different situations, but both not very optimal and good tbh.
