As much as I hate America you can't deny that their culture has spread across the entire world. 90% of popular movies, music and tv shows are American. Their politics litterally get discussed by everyone else in the world.

In my country(and plenty of other European countries) "culture" used to refer to high-brow culture like classical music, opera, literature, sculpture, paintings, etc., in US culture apparently means everything - to Americans even Disney is culture, or McDonald's, amusement parks, street fashion, hip-hop, twerking, graffiti, etc. Intellectuals used to call all these consumerist, frivolous things anti-culture or un-culture because they distract people from the real culture and the opportunity to educate themselves.
Of course, now everything is Americanized, westernized, and very few people care about real culture anymore.
