Being short as a man has many advantages
So many studies show that tall men are more successful, and obviously tend to be viewed as more attractive by society as a whole.
As a short man, I feel like my height gives me an edge. People don’t expect someone at my height to be as confident as I am, but I really own it (without going so far as to embody “short man syndrome”), and that helps me stand out from the crowd.
I‘ve also noticed that people tend to trust me more than my taller male counterparts (perhaps because they don’t view me as a threat?). That’s a HUGE advantage in my professional field, as sales heavily relies on trust.
And while it’s certainly harder to pull women in large quantities, I do feel like it has some advantages romantically. Almost like being overweight, I feel like when a woman loves me, it’s far more likely to be real love — a love based on things that I wasn’t just gifted in life, such as character, personality, and drive.
