is there a growth plate in the jaw or more specifically the mandible that you can view via x ray to determine if your jaw isn’t done growing in the late teens or early 20s?

if not then what is the physical action of mandible growth

No. Jaw has no suture. Need Surgery.

then why are these orthodontists trying to tell me that I have to wait for a tooth implant even though i’m 18 because my jaw could grow and displace the implant

and how does jaw growth occur in puberty then? obviously “hOrmoNes” but what physically happens

jaw can remodel if you still have development left, so start chintucking furiously and keep perfect posture op, push your neck back so the jaw gets pressed forward, over time it might adapt

Jaw can change at any age.

Acromegaly patients at even age 30 have their jaw, browridges, and fingers grow.

Bones can thicken and get larger at any age. But they cant get any longer
