i don't think it's superficial at all. I think the opposite is in fact more superficial. you can index almost everything about a person's personality, interests, passions, etc. from both their aesthetics and the way they present themselves. I might be ruling 5% of people out prematurely by this, but it's a good rule of thumb.

Fashion and physiognomy are not everything, at least in my experience. 99% of people who're on my level of ugliness suck, but 99% of people above it suck too. Some of my friends mog me, some don't, and I don't think the aesthetics and presentation really has that great of a bearing on who they are, it's just happenstance.
