After looking on NAMUS, there are more than a handful of cases that are very similar to Asha's. These cases occurred in SC, NC, GA, MD, and FL

from 1982 to 2000. All young girls 8 - 12 years old. All have a similar description to Asha. All were last seen either in their bedroom at

bedtime (but gone in the morning), walking to a nearby convenient store or getting into the car of an unknown man. Asha Degree Shy'Kemmia Pate

kidnapped at a time of opportunity. I believe whoever took Asha, has done it before

On the Asha Degree subreddit a user recently identified a man who knew Asha through her church, would have been 18 when Asha disappeared, & who was jailed a couple of years later for kidnapping & sexually assaulted two 12 year old girls.
