What is the best resident evil game for a beginner to start playing?

My favorite game series of all time

So RE2 remake 2019,ReRemake 2002,RE7 2017 are the best games

These still play great today assuming you won’t play most of the the ps1 or ps2 games

You can also play Re3 remake 2020 it’s great but short

If I were you if you can play I’d play reident evil remake 2002 this will show you the story but top down controls might no be your thing
Then play re2 2019 then re3 2020

From then on you’ll know enough about the characters to look up each game and choose because story get’s super convoluted anyway.So first 3 games mog all others

I'm nostalgic about it but the original resident evil and re 2 are still the best. Even in the remake forms.

start from resident evil 7 and 8

u wont get some of the back story but its fun in 1st person view

For me RE 1 and its HD remake will always hold a special place in my heart.

But you can play the modern games if you really want to.
