Can you explain to me why Brazil is such a shithole? It's the largest country in South America yet most people are impoverished and the crime rate is very high

Why?

The only thing is that your global purchasing power tanked hard since your currency is being nuked to the ground. Importing stuff from other countries are way more expensive now. Such as electronics, etc or whatever.

Yeah tbh, during every "economic hardship" so to speak. Everyone wants to hold US dollar, since it's currently the worlds reserve currency. So it's doomed to increase a lot in value. Hopefully it drops down quite a bit once this is over.

Also, not sure why there are so many more blacks here compared to other SA countries tbh, but Brazil was the only territory colonized by Portugal on SA, the rest went all to Spain. Considering that several SA countries like Venezuela, Peru, Colombia... have a much higher amount of native Descendents than brazil, I suppose Spanish colonizers preferred to enslave the natives rather than bring the blacks tbh, Even though it's known that many natives would just rope instead of accepting enslavement
