basic learning theory im very familiar with

i use this to learn languages

example, i learn word for "money"
then later i hear in a show the word for "bank"
a chain has been made and strengthened my ability to recall the word "money" because I can see it in more contexts and have other words related to it, and repeat but with various words or repeating words with more contexts.
on and on:

money, bank, heist, security
money, paper, trees, leafs, fruit
money, rich, millionaire, wealthy

once I have seen this word used repeatedly in different contexts and hear other associated words, not only am i strengthening my memory for the word "money" but i am also starting to build contexts for the chained words for them to become stronger in my mind
a path to fluency through comprehensive input
