I don’t take it because I’d heard it is bad for hair and I’m mpb prone. Did some research tho, and apparently the theory that it causes balding is all from one study. It was a study where 20 rugby players were given a fat dose of creatine or placebo for a few weeks, and then the two groups switched. The creatine groups had an increase in total dht. Free dht wasn’t checked.
Apparently that’s the only “evidence” that creatine increases hair loss even tho it’s been used as a supplement for a long time. It’s also well known as the best natty supplement.
I’m trying to balance tons of evidence for more muscle with minimal evidence for hair loss. Makes me lean towards using creatine except hair is more important than a marginal improvement in body. But I’d definitely use it if there isn’t a risk to hair.
Anyone here have insight on this issue? Anyone here use creatine and have experiences to share? Thoughts?
