Dating apps are getting harder

The last time I used a dating app like Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge, I got WAY more matches than I am now. This was all the way back in 2019.

I’ve had two different LTRs in that period of time and I just broke up with my current girlfriend so I re-downloaded the apps.

I used to get lots of likes on Tinder and Bumble. I had 2k matches on Tinder in 1.25 years and 1k on bumble in 1 year.

Now? I have a whopping 25 COMBINED matches in two days and only like 5% of them are good.

Either I had the mother of all descensions, my elo is fucked, or the apps changed their algorithm HEAVILY.

I’m maybe 4.5 PSL, 5 PSL on a good day. 6’2 is my only redeeming quality.

Even on websites like POF where you don't have to match first, the response rates are way down. I used to get like a 40% response rate from average women on POF 7-8 years ago. Now it's like 10% and I am more attractive and successful. Many people have had this experience.

Just to let you know their always adjusting their algorithm as women become more picky on dating apps, the top teir men elo rise in comparison to other men, and the top men get shown more by the algoritthm. Thats why your seeing alot less matches.
