Dentist (sorta update)

So going to the dentist she pointed out no flaws in my teeth, I do slightly see myself having an overbite but that's just dad's genetics my teeth are kinda weirdly built.
Anyhow I asked her to check my bite where I had an uneven bite and almost a scissor bite (her words, don't know the English term for it). This has lead to my jaw being uneven in a position where my teeth are clenched.
I may be getting braces, I'm going for a second check at another dentist to see what they say.

If braces is an option what type of braces would be best.
Can braces fuck my face up in any way.
And for people with/who've had braces do you have any advice for my possible future?

My old dentist are having a look at my teeth, then sending me to an orthodontist if needed. What I'm sacred of is that my old dentist won't send me to an orthodontist cause I had an idea of them not being very fond of me
