Absolutely nobody wants to have dark skin or Asian facial features. Not even people/races with dark skin. In African and Central-Asian countries people literally buy skin-whitening products to look more fair.

Once designer babies and gene editing starts allowing people to choose the appearance of their child (will 100% happen no matter how much people whine and moan about it), ethnic demographics like blacks, middle-easterners etc as well as East-Asians will fucking die within several generations time via self-inflicted extinction through gene editing and designer babies. Fair skin and eurocentric features are objectively better looking so the laws of natural selection dictate that eventually the overwhelming majority of humans will have fair skin and Caucasian looking features. Dark skinned people bleach their skin and Asians take surgeries to look more white. Why wouldn't they use gene editing to get rid of their ethnic features?

I would not be surprised to see sonething along these lines happen in places like south Korea. I am skeptical that it would happen other places though. There seems to be a limit to the vanity people have in places like vietnam or kenya. Obviously people will always prefer white looking features but it doesnt seem like the average person in vietnam really gives a shit. I dont know how much of that is genetic or because they dont have such heavy western influence like in korea or japan.

But for sure it will he very bad once people can actively choose the features their baby has. Women already do this by proxy of course by choosing white guys but this gene selection would be a disaster because everyone is going to make their baby look like a hitler youth poster child

Central Asians are mostly chinks. But they are pale as fuck. I think you mean south asians like Pakis and Indians. Yeah they would die in an instance to be a quarter white.
