I think hoarding fuel and solar panels is a good place to start but JFL that sounds like too much work.

I recommend buying survival stuff that you're gonna need: canned food, water, fuel, ammo, tobacco, alcohol, etc., even if there's no collapse, you can still use this stuff for yourself, you don't lose anything...
