In the hunter-gatherers age , men who bring the most food and are good at fighting are the most desired by women in their tribe.
Today , the more money a man can bring , the more desirable he is.
Everything most humans do is all about surviving and breeding. Let say you study hard because you want to get a good job with a good money to have access to a good genetics material women. whether you believe it or not, everything you do is all about for surviving and finding the best possible female mate.
In my view , "betabuxxing" and game are not copes like the most of the basement dwellers here want you to believe. They are trying to avoid the damn works and want to rely on solely on looks for their sexual success,It's a foid-like behavior.As long as you have managed to impregnate the woman and have her carry your offspring because the main purpose of any organism is to procreate , right?
There are some exceptions for the enlightened minds like Sir Isaac Newton and Nikola Tesla. They devote themselves for the advancement of human knowledge. Totally absorbed in their passions and intellectual pursuits. They're not interested or satisfied by mere sexual pleasures.
