first of all, the US didn’t want anything to do with the war up until japan attacked, second the reason the us was so instrumental was because of the access and the intelligence they had because of the british, if hitler invade britain then the USA would’ve had to launch offensives from the middle east, which would’ve ruined their chances heavily. Second china was a lot further and germany would’ve already been massive by the time it reached china, also china was going through famine and was poor, they just had a lot of people
