I cant get along with my bestfriends boyfriend​

Ok so basically there is this dude that is a friend of a friend right? Lets call him Tom. Tom went to our graduation and checked out all the girls in our class. Who he thinks is ugly, fat, fuckable until it was my turn. He told our mutual friend about how I was the prettiest of all and that he could imagine dating me if it weren't for my boyfriend. He continued to bash my boyfriend saying that he does nothing for his body and how Tom himself could do better. When my friend told me about that I felt mad at him for talking shit about my boyfriend. This left a quite rude and arrogant, superficial impression of him. While I'm not attracted to his personality I cant help but to feel physically attracted to him a lot. On our mutual friends birthday in october I got to see his kind side but that didn't change a lot of my impression. Because of that intense physical attraction that I'm not suppose to feel I told myself to push myself away from that dude. Wasn't to hard because I never saw him since then but now our mutual friend has hooked him up with my best friend. It looks like they might date in the future and I feel really weird about it. Now I can't just push him away and forget about it because I'll be confronted with him much more. I also want to get along with my best friends boyfriend but I just cant. She doesnt seem to mind the stuff I warned her about. She met him as sweet and kind.
I do whish for my best friend to be happy and if she is happy with him I will have to deal with it. This whole thing just makes me really uncomfortable. I have told her about it but not in person yet which I will once we hang out again.
