Thermodynamics is difficult and very theoretical.

Losing weight or gaining weight is generally hormonal, that means leanbody mass, fat, everything really. And hormones are bacterial so really its bacterial + it also depends which kind of bacteria populates your body. This will also determine how easily you gain or lose fat or muscle, so weight in general.
If you eat fat, there is no actual mechanism to store the fat. You cannot do it. Your body isnt able to, because the ”gates” are closed so to speak. To open the gates you will need growth hormones that signals your body to make more cells and to grow. Such as insulin. Insulin opens these ”gates”. Protein will open them lets say halfway which is not efficient enough. Where as carbohydrates will open them very wide and it will let it all in.
For example if I wpuld have replaced the 100 grams of fat that i was eating to get the same ampunt of ”calories” from carbohydrates, i would have to eat 700 grams of rice which would have raised alot of insulin and im sure that I would have gained more fat.
ITS REALLY ALL HORMONAL. CALORIES IN AND CALORIES OUT WHO still believes that lol?

Not quite. It is a complicated process and I won’t dive into the metabolism of various nutrients too deep.

You cannot escape thermodynamics.
That does not mean calories in=calories absorbed. The reason people might succeed on a high fat diet is the absorption of the fat which is incomplete. And I agree it obviously has metabolic effects involving various hormones, yet to be fully elucidated.

But you cannot escape the natural order.

I could expand on some of this if you wish, but your premise is wrong but you are almost headed to the path of truth
