How to disable The private chat feature?

So,i get a lot of PMs in private chat feature but i don't get the notifications for it.
Even if i get notifications,they disappear for some reason later.
So,many of the messages there remain unanswered.

Plus,i don't like the feel And atmosphere of private chat.

So,i want to disable the private chat feature so no once can pm me there and leave the private conversation feature intact inplace to receive messages there.
Anyway to do this?

I see a lot of users here with their chat and conversation features disbaled,i don't know how they do it.
