Imagine a boy who grew up without a father and never had male friends at school. The only people who accepted him were the girls in his class. Then people turn around and act shocked when he comes off “zesty” or different. They mock him, question him, and judge him for the very traits he developed just to survive and fit in somewhere.
How was he supposed to learn how to act “like the other boys” when the other boys excluded him from the start? When every attempt to fit in was met with rejection, bullying, or isolation?
And the worst part is people act like it’s automatically his fault, especially if he’s ethnic, as if he was supposed to magically become some hyper-masculine stereotype without guidance, friendship, or acceptance. Nobody talks about how loneliness shapes people. Nobody talks about how being rejected by boys and only accepted by girls can affect the way someone speaks, acts, or expresses themselves.
People love to judge the result while ignoring everything that created it.
Someone might think am defending it or something but hell nah, I even seen guys who where zesty asf and all the sudden when the change there group friends the didn’t become more zesty/fruit. Basically your friends group matter a lot especially in teenagers.
Know look at this video it’s truly making me sad for his mom
