I watched the re-run of Mcgyver while growing up. I watched him solve problems with almost no resources and through his sheer ingenuity and wit.
I never had sufficient resources, his attitude towards solving problems made me look for solutions in my life.
It never once came into my mind that , He is a white guy and I need to see a brown guy as Mcgyver to feel a connection to that character.
