For most games that don’t have exceptional graphics, you’ll decide whether you want to play it based on what the game contains (its gameplay, story, etc.). However, if you see a video game with excellent graphics, you’ll really want to try it out because of its graphics. It doesn’t really need much of anything else. It can have shit gameplay but you’ll still want to play it, or at least try it out just because it looks good. In contrast, you won’t want to play an outdated video game with shit graphics unless the game is exceptional in another area (gameplay or story most of the time) to make up for how bad it looks. People still play games from the 90’s, but only because those games have god-tier gameplay or story.
This is exactly how looks work. If you are good looking, girls will like you just because of that. There’s a range. If you’re above average but not very good looking you still can’t afford to be a piece of shit. If you’re very good looking you can be a piece of shit and still get girls (at least in the short term). If you’re average, it depends more on your personality and how you behave. If you are ugly, you will need to be exceptional in another area to make up for that or not have any success at all (to a certain extent ofc).
