Are hunter eyes considered to have ptosis? Or how much of the iris should be covered if at all by the top lid?

Ptosis will make you subconsciously raise your brow which is less hunter and also make you look less “intense” which could be good or bad

Smh I'm not talking about extreme ptosis cases, I'm just wondering by definition. For example from google images ptosis:

Google images hunter eyes:

Is the first guy called ptosis just because the eyes don't match? The iris coverage looks similar to the 2nd guy.

Ptosis is when your eyelids are droopy and can fall down like the picture above, basically the muscles in your eyelids are extremely weak which causes the droopiness

A weak upper lid results in tosis
A weak lower lid results in retraction

Ok I think i understand now, visually there can be coverage of the iris in both but they're from different reasons.

Ptosis is when the upper eyelid sags due to issues with the levator muscle , sometimes restricting vision:

See how the eyelid with ptosis sags more than the other?

Masculinized eye sockets produce more compact eyelids that cover the iris more, but due to bone position rather than muscle issues.

High cheekbones raise the infraorbital rim, and the frontal bone (Supra orbital rim) does not arch as much to attach to the zygomatic. This produces smaller, more squared orbits.

Orbital septum is a membrane that fills the eye sockets, and the borders of the eyelids are bound to it. When the eye sockets are larger, the eyelids are farther apart (to bind to the orbital septum) and thus expose more of the iris.

Masculinized vs feminized eye sockets:

Masculine:

Feminine:

1606882322683

Those with masculine eye sockets will always have high cheekbones and thus a high lateral canthus.
