True IQ, or true intelligence mostly comes down to how fast you can learn, what level of abstraction you can work with, how good you are at problem solving (ie manipulating pre-existing knowledge, and solving problems), etc.

A good indicator of your actual IQ is how well you do in school, how well you do in STEM. But the best test, is maybe how well you do in competitive programming / competitive math (this stuff is literally a pure IQ test in its purest form).

The internal thought in your head that tells you that you could be at the top of your class if you just applied yourself, or you could do well in programming if you just tried etc, is just massive cope. It's just there to protect your ego.
