well the thing that triggered this thread was someone saying that propranolol "turns off the amygdala". its a beta blocker. the study hes referring to is when presented with something that triggers their phobia/ptsd, you basically rewire the way you think about the thing because your body isn't reacting with fight or flight thanks to the beta blockerGive examples of biggeet misinformation maybe I am deluded too.
I believe that too. Or maybe I just need to believe something positive because I live in Hell. I am jumping on antidepressants soon, I hope they will help me see the reality and become NT.also many people here are wrong about girls and just straight up believe anything in the echo chamber
That was my post lol. I put that in quotes and also stated that was a beta-blocker.well the thing that triggered this thread was someone saying that propranolol "turns off the amygdala". its a beta blocker. the study hes referring to is when presented with something that triggers their phobia/ptsd, you basically rewire the way you think about the thing because your body isn't reacting with fight or flight thanks to the beta blocker
I'm gonna buy it Ciplar LA- 40mg per capsule.
This drug is a beta-blocker that is used to break the reconsolidation of fear.
It does this by "shutting down" the amygdala that stores the emotional stimulus tied to our memories.
That means, you don't loose the memory, but the traumatic emotion attached to it.
yea but it doesnt work by shutting down the amygdala. the amygdala is active the entire time. what it does is: your body for some reason isnt freaking out and your mind is like "hmmm wtf thats weird, i guess i wasnt/shouldnt be afraid of this thing???" and then it kind of introduces that new reality to your amygdala. That was my post lol. link to post?@crosshold ok, but what do you think of my idea of overcoming procrastination with propranolol?
i would think not because of the fact that the amygdala has to do with fear and you are forgetting about an important step which are the adrenal hormones
what you need totally depends on your issues. people who arent clinically recessed shouldnt get bimaxi always cringe when some oldcel falls for surgerymaxing and starts getting all kinds of implants and bad work because theyre too high inhib to get bimax.
its bimax from a top doctor or death when it comes to this stuff
i agree with you somewhat.i would think not because of the fact that the amygdala has to do with fear and you are forgetting about an important step which are the adrenal hormones
but go ahead and try it, propranolol is very safe
