My dad is shorter than me and when im near him i feel hes way taller than i am.

Most likely possibility is you are really 5'8". If you are in college or an affluent area, the average height is going to be above that of the general population. Also possible a lot of guys your height are wearing lift shoes.

U must be comparing Ur eye level to their head level
I do the same mistake,this makes guys who are 2 inches taller look 5 inches taller than u

Because distance from head level to eye level is 3-4 inches
