You're never going to get another period in your life where you can sleep 10 hours a day and have so much energy and boundless free time to actually work on something. Try to set out a schedule and really try to work on 2 or 3 big goals.
Here's what I'd say are the most important goals you could learn and will put you head and shoulders above other people:
Here's what I'd say are the most important goals you could learn and will put you head and shoulders above other people:
- Getting better at programming/build your own projects
- Getting jacked/ripped
- Take classes at a local college that transfer to the college you plan on going to (this will save you a lot of time, stress, and money later on)
- If your parents don't give you money, then work part-time somewhere. Try to find something where you can get good tips if doing a service job. A sales job could help you develop social skills, but if it's commission based — you may get little (or maybe relatively a lot) in return. If you can network well (and get somebody's dad to get you a job) or are particularly skilled, you may be able to snag a freshman year internship somewhere which would make your resume stand out a lot when you're in college.
- Expand your social network
- Learn how money works (e.g. inflation, interest rates, time value of money, personal finance, basic economics)
- Find whatever your greatest weakness is in your life and work on that (very rare a high schooler would have that level of introspection though)
- If you're under 18 that's the best time to start lifting regularly and getting your nutrition handled. Sleep + naturally high testosterone = great gains if you're consistent.
