I was bullied badly in middle and high school and the only people that were nice to me were mostly teachers and adults. Because of that, I learned to distrust younger people, particularly those between middle school and college age who act in a certain way. I always admired older people for their insight and widsom and their maturity. When I finally went to see a therapist, I preferred they be over 45 years of age. They seemed more mature and less "gross". They didn't do things that would gross me out like young people did. I was born to parents who were in their 40s, to me that seemed like a "young couple". I never thought of 30 as "old" and all my siblings were older, my oldest sister is near 20 years older than me. So to me, young people were always a problem. Old people were cooler.
