Did u know there was an Indian Spiderman comic officially released in 2004 by Marvel?
Spiderman was was Pavitr Prabhakar.
Mary Jane was Meera Jain.
Aunt May was Aunt Maya.
Uncle Ben was Uncle Bhim.
Harry Osborn was Hari Oberoi.
And yes he's dressed in traditional Indian clothing. He wore a dhoti and he's seen swinging across the Taj Mahal and fighting mobs in what's a very accurate illustration of the slums of Dharavi

To compete with curry spiderman. DC released lady shiva comics in India. The general setting is in Delhi and there are many references to Hindu mythology in the comic. She is the one who defeated Batman in a combat.
