If you can't demonstrate superior intellect relative to your peers you simply are not as smart as you think.

People study STEM subjects because they're smart enough to do so, same as criminal masterminds & the same as blackpilled NEETS. People with no recognizable problem-solving abilities are not intelligent.

@Harold O'brien thouitis? Dudes will delude themselves into thinking they are as sharp as a maths champion with the only difference being practice :ROFLMAO:

Intelligence is broader than you're trying to make it sound

I agree, there was a curry-looking mf who used to study with me and had shitty grades, while I was the person with the highest grades in class since I actually tried to put effort into being the best :ogre:

Then, some day, he had the audacity to tell me he would gradesmog me if he were to put the effort in.

Mirin chat farming but eventually you'll stop caring about rep that's when you know you have reached true PSLa stage

Can you expand? I don't see any reason why problem-solving should not be the metric

Academics is not the only measure and imo it's a bad one for measuring male intellect given how gynocentric it's become. But if the curry dude was also uncreative, i.e.could not build anything then it's pretty clear he's lacking in that department.

He was an utter loser, like, unironically

Meanwhile, I won my high school's math competition, and was generally seen as intelligent (even the principal used to like me, every time smt happened regarding our class she would call me to her room and ask for my thoughts about it) :ogre:

Even if you define intelligence as the ability to create solutions to problems, why are you limiting this to STEM areas? Isn't the ability to compose a hit song a valid intelligence marker? What about mediating interpersonal conflicts?

I don't agree with boiling intelligence down to how big of a math prodigy you are. Too one dimensional

STEM subjects are easy on stimulants

Oh yeah, those primary school prizes are a great indication, young kids with no incentive to not try & no interference/deterrence from hormones from puberty/life experience, etc.

I remember I won the science one 3 times in a row in 3 years, but I'm bout to drop out of eng. atm. That's why I don't use academic success as a determining metric, ultimately raw intelligence is the ability to solve problems.

I'm not

There are two kinds of people, problem solvers and the ones who go on philosophical ramblings and think they are smart

If you can't think on your feet you are not intelligent, simple as that

That's exactly the premise of my thread, i'm not sure why users are focussing on the fact I mentioned STEM, that's just one thing that requires problem-solving. Smart people find solutions it's that simple.
