Yeah

Plus the status allows you to bang the flight attendants. You don’t need to spend time with your family when you’re getting blowjobs in the sky eating good food and staying in 5 star hotels all paid for by your airline.

The autopilot does not do most of the work. Being a pilot is a very stressful job.

In 2015, Monarch pilot Sam Bray told Telegraph Travel “on a regular flight the autopilot does around 90per cent of the flying.” And that number isn’t likely to go down. Surprisingly, it’s not just the air bound version of “cruise control” that they use. At sophisticated airports like Heathrow, there’s also an option to land the plane in autopilot – although that takes away most of the fun.

One of my dreams but my name is extremely Muslim and my eyes are fucked

I've read once on r/foreveralone about a short, ugly Indonesian guy who became a pilot thinking he'll make lots of money and easily get women, but things didn't turn out too good for him: he wasn't making much money and the stewardesses were laughing at him behind his back, he was still an incel...

The golden age of pilots was in the 1960s-1970s: the pay was much higher, they were seen as high status, they had plenty of free time between flights to rest, have fun, party, they stayed for free in 5-star hotels, they didn't have to worry about being accused of sexual harassment, etc...
After flights became cheaper the pilots' salaries dropped, the workload increased, all the special perks disappeared, it's just not the same as before.

lol flight school costs basically the same as any private med college. Imagine slogging as mbbs student when you could become a pilot

In western countries, yes
here it is one of the worst in terms of effort to reward, too much slogging + boring curriculum the guy who lives next door to my room is a third time neet ug dropper I'm pretty sure he's going to rope soon

Dodged that flight by 4 days. Spent my flight returning from Germany (to BCN) taking pics of the Alps.

Of course just make sure to not do Boston - LA flights.

One of the best jobs. Whenever I go to the airport I always see the chad pilots surrounded by hot flight attendants

If you're the pilot, you have a special code that can open the door...

vs being a construction worker or factory worker yeah it mogs
but if you were working pilot hours and willing to live that shit of a lifestyle as a doctor you would be making 700k+
