Is compensating your bite to increase chin height a viable alternative to surgical options ?

I could fully compensate my but so my teeth come together and increase chin height by abiut 3mm.

Is this worth trying before jaw surgery?

Problem is it goes against ramieris plan of decompensating bite so if I did want bimax it would extend the braces time needed.

Well obviously but orthodontics is a lot less invasive and doesn’t cost 20k or have 3 month recivery
