Calories in calories out mate

After the fast if you eat the same amount of calories you ate before the fast then yes you'll re-gain the weight. You should look for your ideal weight according to your height and see how much average calories you'd need to maintain that weight.

Everyone is different. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting 16/8 since January with several breaks in March and August. And I’ve cut from 85kg to 80kg. Never did cardio during this time but I’ve been doing regular home workout since Corona.

Fasting is a pretty decent way to lose weight. The problem is that people will do a 5-7 water fast and then just start eating like shit again. If you can work rolling 48s/72s into your lifestyle, you'll get fast results.

Regaining everything back is an illusion. You will regain mostly water. The lost fat will come back quickly only if you resume a shit diet or have a hormonal imbalance (insulin resistance).

Fasting is legit and if you have fat reserves, you get used to hunger as soon as your body starts burning fat as fuel, and if you're a whale, you can go on for weeks or months (some fat guy fasted for a whole year). But the problem is that you will lose muscle. So long-term fasting is not the ideal way for cutting, it's more adapted to legit fatsos.
