I like one eye but not the other. I was seeking a surgical option to fix this asymmetric eye and eyelid on the left (/my right technically) since I'd prefer not to get filler every 8-14 months for the rest of my life, or worry about what point the wearing off is noticeable, timing refills, etc. As opposed to a one-time fix.
I spoke with a fairly knowledgable oculoplastic surgeon in Europe and while I don't understand the eye area like he or most surgeons in that field would, he framed it as a lack of volume in that area and therefore adding to it with filler would help resolve the asymmetric look from the upper eyelid. Does that make sense? And less reliably but technically a surgical option being fat graft.
I naively thought some type of surgical option would "cut" or reconfigure the eyelid so that it wouldn't show or be angled this way, and be made more symmetrical. But that's not how it works apparently, right?
Is filler really the best option? Sorry my camera isn't the greatest and I have to hold it out far enough to not distort things, then crop.
