Can doing pull ups make your frame wider, as in the distance between your shoulders? It makes your lats bigger but I don't understand why some people say it can make your frame wider
Getting bigger lats can't just magically reposition your entire shoulder structure like the bone / muscle attachment / nerves? So the only muscles that can make you look wider by making bigger are shoulders and maybe arms?

It wont make your bones wider, but it can give the illusion of being wider due to bigger lats / shoulders

You're spot on that lats don't really make you wider, which I think is a common myth because it's sort of intuitive thinking. The average natty will never have big enough lats to the point where they're perpetually pushing your arms out sideways at REST. Even with very developed lats, the muscle retracts back to its place on the posterior part of your mid-ribcage, it doesn't hang out on your sides unless you're purposely spreading them sideways, which is extremely obvious and cringe


So, yes only shoulders actually make you wider, lats just complete the V taper so you don't look like the letter T


Natty lifting is a JOKE if you have a small frame, but at the same time it's not worth it to nuke your organs to look wider
