I’ve only just now realized that no one gives a shit, even if you’re fluent. LMS is everything, no matter where you go.

I thought it would make it easier to connect with people but it’s only increased my sense of isolation. It honestly sucks to see your hard work be met with annoyance or apathy

Eh, their aesthetics and pop culture aren’t enough of a pull for me. If I reach a point in my Japanese studies where I can just breeze through most Korean grammar, I’ll consider it. Learning an Asian language from scratch is a huge time sink
