this is a trailer for what appears to be a carbon copy of Sex and the City. Emily is a stronk independent (((marketing expert))) for a globohomo fortune 500 firm and goes to Paris on an adventure.

You will notice that there is one (seemingly high class) black man in the entire trailer, a radical departure from what Paris actually is now.

If they showed paris the way it actually is (essentially a third world city) women would not watch this program as it would upset them. Emily gets the fantasy of going to an exotic place but does not experience the horrors of living in a real world diverse metropolis.

This type of story has enormous appeal to women, as women crave just enough danger to be exciting, but not scary (see 50 Shades). I predict this show will be a huge success.

You already know the whole film is going to be about Emily being empowered and fucking chad. It never began if you would look out of place as a love interest in this film.

this has become a genre in and of itself, the "whitewashed city girl comedy". women don't want to admit it but I guarantee that is why Friends has been so enduringly popular for millennial girls. they can LARP that city life is anything like that any more, and not the terrifying diverse experience it is irl where women are scared to walk down the street at night. it's a safe comforting lie. HBO's Girls is the same thing, it got criticised for being too white.

I went to Paris 2019 and right at the end of the day I seen a French woman with her blonde daughter. The only ones of the whole day. Then looked at scared huddled together on the metro.
