By hypocrisy, what I mean is scenarios such as those where I post photos of my face, and as soon as some of the posters here (e.g., PrettyBoyMaxxing) see that my face is peeling from using products like Retin-A/Tazorac, they accuse me of coping by using products that are melting my face off instead of just accepting the reality of my situation and relegating myself to abandoning my life here so that I can spend thousands of dollars traveling to southeast Asia just to get laid.

My question is, why is it that when I use products such as Retin-A (which is one of the only medications backed by scientific evidence suggesting that it boosts collagen production), people simply accuse me of coping, but if literally anyone else creates a thread asking what they can do to slow the progression of skin aging, practically everyone is quick to point out that it's a no-brainer to start using Retin-A if they aren't already, and why?...

... Precisely because it's one of the only medications backed by scientific evidence suggesting that it boosts collagen production.

So why is it that when anyone else uses products such as Retin-A, they are implementing an effective collagenmaxxing routine, but when I use it, I'm simply coping and trying to avoid accepting reality?

You know the answer. Because you're in your 30's.

Yeah, and here's the irony that arises from that fact -- doesn't me being in my 30's make an even MORE compelling argument for using Retin-A? Countless studies, dermatology journal articles in well-reputed publications, dermatologists' websites, and even answers posted on RealSelf by dermatologists all say that one of the most effective strategies someone can implement to preserve/boost collagen production is the use of Retin-A (as well as sunscreen, of course) starting in their 30's. So if anything, me using Retin-A, Tazorac, GHK-Cu, etc. should be perceived as me trying to stay ahead of the game, so to speak.

Don't worry, I'll be saving a spot for you at the old folks' table in just a few years. Maybe you'll win the bingo jackpot during your first game here at the home.

Indeed. It's probably the most viable option for you to be using those things. I don't know which comments were directed at you or what they meant by that because I can't contextualize it (Because I can't see the comments) but from what I gather, it's most likely people wanting you to just accept the fact that you're old and move on, instead of trying to recapture your youth.

This is a stage that always occurs, though. There is a stage where people think that ascension and looksmaxxing is not possible, then they will usually backtrack if someone becomes much better looking in the future and act like they always thought it was possible.

To be honest, for me it's not even about trying to recapture my youth, because I know it's unrealistic to expect any of these drugs/peptides/whatever to actually "turn back the clock." It's simply about implementing whatever evidence-based measures are available to me that could potentially not make me age as rapidly or as severely from this point on, and the thing about Retin-A/Tazorac is that these drugs are so cheap, easy to obtain, and offer such a favorable risk/reward ratio that it seems like I'd be remiss NOT to use them.

Too autistic to understand the symbolism
