Should I buy this instead of nizoral 2%? I know ketoconazole 2% has mild anti androgenic effects and can slightly block DHT in scalp, altough fin is the way to go, I just want to use it preventive, but if I will ever see some recesison I will get on fin asap!Do you think I should buy it?

i think ill just do fin and ketoconazole together

No.

ketoconazole is the active ingredient in nizoral. Nizoral is simply the brand name.

3% ketoconazole is quite drying and abrasive to your scalp.

Shampoo has very negligible if any effects on hair loss since the few minutes it remains on your scalp are not enough for absorption.

Just use any shampoo you like.

I know, but it's good for me as it also works well for dandruff and I usually keep it on for 10minutes

No wonder my hair looks like shit after using keto shampoo daily for around 3 months. Must be because of the drying effect. I'll switch to regular shampoo since today.

I have been using ketoconazole 2% about 3 times a week for like 6months and it didn't really dry my hair
