You can't be an alpha male without top 98th percentile levels of brain damage. It sounds ridiculous, but the data doesn't lie - an alpha male has on average 9 concussions compared with just 2 in a "standard male." A beta male hasn't experienced even a single head trauma!
Why is this? The brain regains nearly all IQ lost within 2 weeks of a concussion, but your risk aversion stays permanently lowered. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) acts like a cheat code to increase your risk tolerance.
