I use modafinil and piracetam on a regular basis, imo moda does what's it's said to-- it's a wakefulness agent which helps you focus and finish what you started.

Piracetam is more slow acting but it feels like it improved my critical thinking and ability to make abstract connections between disparate thoughts.

I know a friend who has been on them for about a year. He says they have helped a lot. Anecdotal of course, but he's a high IQ guy so I do trust him to be able to differentiate between an actual increase in cognition and a placebo.

However, I do think that most people have lower cognitive abilities than they can potentially have due to deficiencies and hormonal imbalances. Treating them directly instead of using nootropics as a short term fix may be more beneficial.

Edit: I've been supplementing many things for about a month and I've experienced many benefits, higher cognition being one of them. May make a thread on what I take and what I've experienced so far.

I get mine OTC from Indian pharmacy, I just said once I forgot my prescription but it was for sleep apnea, it was an easy sell and guy basically became my regular supplier lol. Might need to look up online stores for modalert 200 (generic modafinil) that give without prescription

but you need to be deliberate about what you intend to do on that particular day if you do use anything in a time bound limit for it to be fruitful
