Midfacial depth is the key to aesthetics

People think the best part of losing weight is revealing the jaw but on par with it is actually the midface depth that is enhanced through fat loss.

Lautner looks much better in the left because his pfl is higher ( as the face takes up less volume) , cheekbones are more prominent, and the region above the canine fossa is sunken in to create an angular midface region

Agree 100%.

In fact, a non-lean midface is the #2 worst fail besides a recessed jaw.

The best thing is you can affect it by eating less food like Lautner did for Twilight.

Very very interesting and insightful, I think this is the reason why you will look very interesting in natural sunlight, it kinda shows your midface to be angular
