I can assure you that 97% of white people smell way worse than I ever could (and 100% for black Americans). It’s genetically determined for me, I’ve got dry earwax which is linked to less to no body odor. You can use this argument on others, but not my family members since we are genetically superior to most people.

Yes, it is, Koreans are famous for having this. Chances are you have the CT genotype which could explain why you have dry earwax and still normal body odor. Koreans have the TT genotype, like a lot of East Asians. Admittedly, it’s rare in South Asians, but it’s even rarer in Europeans, with only 3% of Europeans having the TT genotype. This is going to be TMI but I can go on without showering for weeks and even months and still you’d have to bury your nose in my arm pits if you wanted a smell, and even then it’s just quite mild. With other people you can smell their body odor as you walk past them. I mainly have noticed this in Europeans and MENA people. They both have their distinct smell. Thankfully, I only smell it occasionally during the summer. Oddly enough, I’ve never smelled any black people stinkin’ bad but that could be because I’m not surrounded by them here. Technically they should stink the most since 1) They have wet earwax universally and 2) They have the largest sweat glands out of all people, with Europeans, MENA and South Asians, etc in the middle and East Asians with the smallest. While sweat itself doesn’t stink, once it mixed with certain bacteria in the arm pits it gives that foul odor. People with TT genotypes produce fewer bacteria which is likely why they cause little to no body odor. People frequently say, “But I’ve been to Korea and it smells horrible in the summer!” That’s because they’re smelling their bad breath from all the kimchi they consume, or because it gets stuck on their clothes. Makes sense. I know East Asians are notorious for barely sweating at all, or at least thats what I've heard. I also know that the Germanic tribes were also considered unhygenic by the Arab travelers who interacted with them. However, I wonder if its actually an advantage evolutionarily to not smell. As it basically allows you to mask bad bacteria that would otherwise be selected against.

Black people do sweat like crazy but there's an ethnic obsession with cologne so that might be why they don't smell as bad. In the black community washing your ass is a brag.

Anyway, it seems like sexual selection may be the cause of this. Perhaps the ancestors of East Asians preferred mating with people that didn’t give off body odor. The reason why I think I have it, is because in South Asia there is a ghost population known as South Asian Hunter-Gatherers and it is said this ghost population are distantly related to the ancestors of East Asians. Perhaps it’s because of this that I have this trait as well. It seems to be more common in southern South Asians a la Dravidians and a lot less common northwestern South Asians. But of course, most South Asians are gonna smell horribly.

No doubt about that, btw. I remember watching a youtube video a few days ago, it was Afro-American hiphop (not a fan of the music, but the thumbnail caught my eye :feelshah:) and the commenters were like (they were fellow African Americans, mind you) “I can smell them through my screen.” :feelskek:
