I observed something intriguing regarding *Young Sheldon* season 2, episodes 13 and 14. Many of us might be familiar with that clip featuring Georgie asking, "Is he taller than me?" to which Mary responds, "It doesn't matter; it's what's inside a person that counts." Georgie then inquires, "How much taller?" and Mary replies, "A lot."
However, prior to this edited scene, Mary explicitly states, "Oh, you mean Dustin, a wonderful guy; she met him through the church," clearly identifying the individual as "Dustin." Yet, in the subsequent episode, when Georgie delivers his love note to Veronica, a male, presumably Veronica's boyfriend, snatches the note, reads it aloud, and humbles Georgie in the process.
In the following episode, we witness Georgie being subjugated by Veronica's boyfriend, who is identified as "Tommy Clarkson." Evidently, Tommy Clarkson and Dustin are not the same individual. Furthermore, Tommy Clarkson, currently tormenting Georgie, is certainly not characterized as a "wonderful guy."
One possibility I have considered is that the male who read the note aloud could be one of the actual boyfriend's friends, while Tommy serves as the genuine boyfriend. However, this speculation still does not clarify the inconsistency regarding the names.
Does anyone possess insights into this query, or is it merely a mistake of the writers?
