5'10- 5'11 is actually the more uncommon height in the real world contrary to popular beliefs. Most races have a split between tall and short.
Northern Indians are tall(5'11) and Southern Indians(5'7) are short.
Northern Asian are tall(5'10) and Southern Asian(5'7) are short.
White people are very diverse but they generally are either between the 5'7-5'9 group or 5'11+.
No scientific evidence. This is personal experience.

I admit I tend to ignore people around my height because there is nothing for me to notice. The world wide average height is 5'8. I think in a real diverse place 5'8 will be the most common height. Then the tall people jack it up to 5'10. The average height can't be jacked up to 5'10 if the average is 5'10. There has to be a group of people at 6' average to make up for the 5'8s.

This could explain why people here argue about average height. In some place they see the short group because same people stick together. They walk around 5'7 5'8 and heightmog them. But if you go to nice suburban white neighborhood the average is 6' and they get mogged.

I thought about it and I think I could be on to something on same group stick together. Maybe same height people move in together? If the 5'9 male goes to a neighborhood of 6'2 males, he will move somewhere else where his height is more average. Slowly more people in that place would be the same height.

I doubt it applies to Asians since I'm southern chinese and my height is 5ft10. Asia is big and has too many genetic types to generalize.
