I think for the sub8 theory, its less about women not being attracted to men who are below an 8 on the looks scale, since that isnt true.
But more about it being less likely that a man below an 8 on the looks scale will have a successful LTR with a normal woman, since it is more likely (as you said) for the woman to lose attraction to their husbands over time and divorce or cheat on them

This is also why chad (generally) will always win, since they have the capability to keep women around on average for far longer

I tend to agree but men and women often date down because they subconsciously assume their looks buy them a degree of control/power they wouldn't have otherwise, so much of sexual desire is rooted in power dynamics after all so it's hard to statistically pinpoint the "value" of looks since it matters in all relationships to different extents. What that says about the psyches of the people who do so I'm not qualified to say, but in general this site criminally underrates exactly how large of a role our psychology and socialisation plays but that's to be expected since "chad only" usually translates to "I'm a mentalcel and I assume being chad would make women look past my NDness", which ironically plays directly into my point about power dynamics.
