Did you hear about Hizbut Tahrir ban in UK? I don't like them but one of few pan-Islamist organisations calling out nationalism. Most Islamists groups have accepted nationalism other than likes of ISIS/al Qaeda JFL. It was one of the causes behind the downfall of the caliphate.

I'm against globohomo culture as well nationalism isn't the only idea that can sustain cultural cohesion. The empires of the past were pretty good at it. On the contrary I'd argue it's liberal nationalism which has spread monoculture and made not just borders irrelevant but peoples too. There is nothing inherently wrong with borders - they can be created anywhere from anything. They're just lines in the sand to demarcate one political entity for another, not necessarily a people
That doesn’t have to be the alternative. Also, nationalism is a disease. Every thought you have is through the lens of nationalism. Every interaction with other people is through the lens of nationalism and compartmentalizing others on a grading scale based on where they’re from. Then you start diving deeper into nationalism and start irrationally focusing on how white your country is, what percentage of aryans are in it and how this relates to your country being better than others, etc.
